I watched Superman Returns on the Premiere night at Midvalley Megamall. Thanks to RHB Credit Cards, and thanks again to my dear love for the tickets. Heheheh.
Upon arrival at GSC Cinema around 7:30pm, the place was already crowded with RHB crews, TV crews awaiting arrival of the VIPs and VVIPs at the red carpet event. We were greeted by friendly RHB staff and were told to be at the hall by 9:00pm.
While waiting for 9:00 we went to Metrojaya to see more Superman toys. Ahahaha I got hooked with some things there but didn't buy - darn my gaji belum masuk!
The security check was very strict. No handphones or no electrical devices allowed. I was expecting Superman Returns door gift but was disappointed as the Premiums were only for contest winners - ahahah what contests? Maybe i spent too much time at the office and were not aware of contests.. contests? My love somehow managed to get me an original Superman Returns poster (that I will frame and hang in my room). I ended up buying the GSC Superman Returns pop corn set just to get me a 3D coaster - OMG! I just remembered I left the pop corn in the microwave 3 days ago!
A piece of Coaster.. that will do.
In Hall 12 (screenings of Superman Returns were in Halls 1 - 13) there were bags filled with a small pop corn and a can of coke - damn i wasted 8 bucks just to get a Superman coaster.. ahahahah padan muka!
To be continued...

Superman Returns Premiere - Midvalley Megamall 270606 - Part 2
The Movie:
Overall, I would rate the movie OK. Some elements of surprise (Superman has an illegitimate son), an exceptional idea of Lex Luthors operating from a ship, Lex's obsession of wanting a land of his own continues from the last Superman movie and many more.
I have to admit, the starting were quite dull, and yes, coming straight from the office, I nearly dozed off right in front of my greatest all time Superhero. I think the movie this time focused too much on Superman's and Lois Lane's emotion - as an all time fan, i prefer the actions to the emotions.
My deepest frustration however, was the actor - Brandon Routh - I don't see why they have chosen this softee to become the 21st century man of steel (He looks good in figurine form though). In my opinion, this guy just looks weak. He does not have the Superman characteristics like Cristhopher Reeves had or even Tom Welling. Dean Cain was never as bad too.
Anyhow, I enjoyed myself at the screening and I am glad that my Superhero has returned. Way to go Superman!
Thanks again sayang for taking me to the Premiere!
p/s: I think the new boots look funny too - seems oversized - is it the boots or Brandon Routh?

Independent Pet Rescuers Malaysia (IPR).
And through our very own initiative called Animals Are Our Angels, we at Rhinowrites Communications and Malaysia's First 365 Days Cat and Dog Calendars are here to help our homeless animals. Personally, we need to consolidate our efforts to help our animals out there in anyway that we can.
Things that we can do:
1. Become a Foster Volunteer.
Help us look for people who can foster the animals that we rescue from the streets. Foster volunteers take these animals into their home, providing a safe environment for them to mature, become more socialized, or heal from an existing wound or illness. This can be an intense short-term commitment, but also a very rewarding one. You have made one step forward to helping us re-home the animal.
2. Adopt a Pet or Pass The Message Around.
Help us by adopting a dog or a cat. Or pass the word around to your friends and families, forward our emails, etc.
3. For as Low as RM 120, sponsor an animal and save their lives.
Sponsor an animal for as low as RM120 a month, that is RM3.70 a day. We can work out an auto debit transaction from your savings account or credit card. You will receive a receipt for this sponsorship programme. The animals will be relocated to a no-kill shelter. That means your money is keeping the animals alive.
4. Help someone neuter a pet.
If you know of anyone that needs money to neuter their animals, help them. Educate them on why they need to do so. If you don't have the means to do it, help raise some funds on your own and you will be surprised how many people will come forward to help. And our DBKL clinic in Setapak is reasonably cheap. Call Mr Krishnan @ 012 258 1041 for more information.
5. Report Abuses.
If you know of your neigbours or people who are neglecting or abusing their pets. Please report them. Don't be afraid. You have to be their voices. The Spca enforcement officer personnel is Sabrina Yeap and her number is 016 631 9018 and Spca number is 4253 5179.
