Siapa sangka semasa Planet Krypton hampir musnah JOR-EL telah melepaskan sebuah lagi kapal angkasa selepas KAL-EL yang berjaya mendarat di Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Anaknya ini dinamakan Syahr-El...

Mendurian Kan Diri Di Melawati
Last year about the same time Kal El ada tulis an entry about Durian di Taman Melawati - kini ia kembali ahahaha poyo!
I think this is one of the best durian selling place kat KL - happening siap ada bannnnyaaaak meja untuk dine in (seperti kata orang yang menjual tu - duduk aja nanti semua datang, no service charge hehehe) Tapi Kal El tak makan situ, kitorang bungkus 4 bijik untuk melantak 2 orang! Rakus kan?
Well, I shouldn't be eating durians (like many other things kan) tapi I don't want to miss what others are enjoying - ala pandai-pandai la adjust kasi balance hehehe - I believe in eating everything but in moderation (Huhuhu pun begitu hilang gak sebelah kaki ni ek? Padan muka aku)
Kat sini besides the dine in place, yang bestnye banyak jenis durian yang depa jual... ada yang murah ada yang mahal... tapi the sales person tu baguih ler... dia kasi yang enak-enak belaka... worth the RM20 spent - for 4 huge durians!
Kal El: Nasib baik amik darah untuk appointment jumpa doctor semalam... kalau pagi ni habis la....

Nasi Daun Pisang @ Sri Paandi Restaurant PJ
Ha... makanan ni la yang Kal El paling gemar... gaul-gaul, kasi banjirrrrr heheheheh patutlah arwah bonda Kal El suruh Kal El kawen ngan perempuan India... senang nak makan nasik daun pisang dan jugak nasik beriyani... Tapi kalau dapat India moden macamana ek? Tau makan pakai sudu garpu aja? Muahahaha...
FYI, this was the first time Kal El keluar lunch kat The Eye Co ni... kalau yang pernah seopes ngan Kal El tau ler perangai Kal El yang sekali dah duduk kat opes tak kuar-kuar melainkan ada meeting kat luar dan jugak waktu nak balik kui kui kui... pekerja mithali la katakan...
Kedai ni kat PJ, Jalan SS5 tak silap - kat Jalan Gasing. Nama kedai Sri Paandi Corner Restaurant. Specialty Nasik Daun Pisang (lain pun ada gak) What's so special here? Haaa... sini punya lah banyak lauk pauk dia... Sayur je ada 4... AMPAT jenis! Dan kalau selalu ada papadom sahaja, sini ada potato chips makan ngan nasik tau. Hehehehe. Kalau nak rasem ngan tairu pun tak payah mintak-mintak macam tempat lain, they serve the stuff to you cuma you have to say you want it or not. However, satu je slacking - kuah kari dia tak sepekat kat Kanna. Hmmm but ok la jugak taste wise... sedap bah!

Salam?
Assalamu'alaikum Warahmatullahi wabarakatuh... kalau malas Assalamu'alaikum pun dah cukup indah dan bermakna. Maksudnya memang sangat indah:
"Salam..." err apa tu? Mengapa sesuatu yang indah yang diberi Maha Pencipta kita rosakkan dek kemalasan sendiri. Memang Kal El cukup berapi kalau salam itu dipendekkan. Kalau malas toksah bagi salam langsung - I wonder apalah agaknya maksud "A'kum", "As'kum", "Semekom" dan "As'laikum" juga "Salam" tu. Sapa-sapa pandai bahasa Arab boloeh berikan maksudnya?
Kal El: Sakit hati kalau dengar "A'kum", "As'kum", "Semekom" dan "As'laikum" juga "Salam" sebab tak tau apa nak jawab - "W'salam", "Ws'lam", "???"... baca artikel ni... SALAM dan BERSALAM
"Salam sejahtera dan rahmat Allah serta keberkatan keatasmu."
Jawapannya juga indah bermaksud:

G.O.O.D.B.Y.E Jacko & Farrah
If Michael had indeed converted to Islam and changed his name to Mikaeel as claimed,
Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajioun..Al Fatihah.
The world received the shocking and sad news of the King of Pop's demise yesterday evening. Being a fan of his magnificent music and sleek dance moves since I was a kid, I am saddened especially thinking how this icon's life turned out to be a tragic comic lately. From an entertainer to someone who experiments with his looks, being frowned upon with scandalous cases of child molestation towards the end of his life.
As a kid I was truly amazed at Jacko's ability to dance. His cool moves in the music videos had always become our (my cousin sisters and I) material and entertaining idea for aerobic session at the hall of our small home. We had lots of good times with Jacko's music when we were young.
To Jacko, thank you for the music, may it continue to 'Heal the World'...
August 29, 1958: Born in Gary, Indiana.

February: The singer's manager brings a 13-million-dollar lawsuit for back salary, which is settled out of court in June.
November 18: Police raid Jackson's Neverland ranch in California as "Number Ones" album is released.

March 5, 2009: Jackson announces series of comeback concerts in London -- billed as the "final curtain" -- his first major shows for more than a decade.

H.A.P.P.Y
I was indeed the HAPPIEST man on earth last couple of nights. Look at how I was enjoying myself at Krispy Kreme after so many months of staying home and getting dead bored.
I was genuinely feeling very happy, fulfilled, satisfied - this night KN finally took me out and we had a good time together - something we haven't done in a verrryyy long time. Just the night before I posted an entry of how bored and disappointed I was with my mundane life - frustrating really but two nights ago, I've totally forgotten my sorrows. Thank God, thanks KN.
I have been looking forward for such night for months ever since I lost my leg and had to undergo dialysis and it came to reality tonight. Walaupun Kal El kene banyak jalan kat Midvalley (you know how huge the place is) and from Midvalley we walked to the cinema at Signature GSC The Gardens (Tuhan je tahu betapa sakit kaki Kal El berjalan) namun, I am really, really honestly happy. I just can't describe my feelings better...
Kal El: Harap there will be many more nights like this in the future!

Krispy Kreme Midvalley
Lepas Kal El terbaca pasal Catz pi kat Krispy Kreme di Times Square, maka Kal El pun teringinlah ke sana juga... ehehehe. Am I not easily influenced? I like the donuts here compared to other donut places - Dunkin an exception lah kan walaupun donutnye melampau manis but Dunkin has a special sentimental value...
J.Co ke or Big Apple ke I don't really quite favour - J.Co's donuts are to fluffy and too sweet somehow their so called donuts do not taste like a donut. Big Apple plak too fancy and bloody sweet! I kinda like Krispy Kreme - they're simple, the donuts are not too soft and neither they are too sweet - just nice.
So we had 2 pieces each (shared of course, sorang amik separuh) I had the Sreawberry Filled and NY Cheesecake (superb) and KN had the Cappucino Filled (double superb!) and Choco Kreme Filled. We each had a cup of Americano Coffee and Drip Coffee for KN.
Oh yeap, I enjoyed the oldies they were playing there that night.
Kal El: Abis la sugar naik hehehe...

Kal El's Chinese Zodiac Reading for 2009
Got this from Facebook...just for the fun of it!
Dear Kal El, your Chinese zodiac is Rabbit.
Below is your life prediction for this year 2009:
2009 will be another challenging year for those who are born in the year of the Rabbit. You might suffer from some surprises this year because you are used to being able to get support easily from others but this will not be the case this year. Apart from your lack of support, there might also be a high probability that you will get caught up in some sticky situations such as having legal problems and even having the likelihood of criminal convictions that might lead to a jail term. You might also find yourself being trapped in other undesirable situations. This year, there will be many people who will plot against you, give you wrong information or mislead you into making decisions that might cause you difficulties. Despite your happy go lucky nature, it will be important for you to remain alert and to spot any possible complications before they arise and avoid relying or trusting in others. Although this will be a stressful year for you, avoid adopting aggressive actions or making impulsive decisions as doing so will be similar to being in quick-sand where the greater you struggle, the faster you will sink into it. It will be important to be rational and reasonable to be able to see things clearly in order to to get the relevant help to get you through. This year, you will be able to tell your friends from those who just want to take advantage of you. You will also be accident-prone and your health will generally be poorer than usual. If you have elders in your family, please be extra careful with their health and safety too. Your wealth luck will not be good too and there might also be the likelihood of incurring huge expenses in several unwanted areas.
Kal El: Upset? No! But still, SIGH... bukan percaya but it pays to be cautious... apa-apa pun semuanya adalah Qada' dan Qadar dari Allah. Insyaallah everything will be fine...

Congratulations Ju & Odows
I vote them the sweetest couple when we were back in the Blood Sucking Sicko Company - entah kenapa but I like them being together - they're a couple of very nice and cool people. Congratulations Ju and Odows for making it this far after <> 4 years of bercinta? May your marriage be blessed with happiness and prosperity. Amin.

B.O.R.E.D
Yang sebenarnya Kal El lately ni sangat bosan. I am so bored that I find going to Giant exciting. Well, since I was amputated boleh kira berapa banyak kali Kal El pi jalan-jalan. Yeap I went to Kota Kinabalu in February and there's the once a month visit to Jusco for grocery shopping plus maybe an extra visit to (again) Jusco for JCard Day last month. Other than that - nil, zero, takde apa. Ok la to be fair, I went to The Gardens last week to get the Transformers ticket at Signatures and esok I'm going there again to watch the movie. Tapi tu je la.
On weekends Kal El tak pergi mana, terperap kat rumah sorang-sorang since KN as usual balik rumah parents dia and lately ni dia balik lambat sangat on Sundays. Kalau dulu-dulu petang dah balik by 3 or 4pm kadangkala tu pagi lagi dah sampai. Lately ni selagi tak gelap, tak malam dia takkan sampai rumah.
I am not complaining (hehehe abis tu apa ke namanya ni?) Kal El bersyukur I still go out to work and can enjoy the MRR2 scenery everytime, to and from work and once a while kalau ada meetings kat KLCC ke, I get tosee the scenery from office to KLCC and back. I just need to pour this out. Sometimes I feel sesak nafas having to stay indoors all the time. I haven't been driving and since the car currently is manual manouvre, I can forget about ever wanting to drive. I depend on others to take me around tapi there's just no one to do so.
My siblings dengan hidup diorang, well, I know they love me but I can't them and interrupt their lives just to take me out tapi apa salahnya once in a while do so with a brother? I know somehow KN pi jalan-jalan bila dia balik Shah Alam, without me. I don't blame KN at all. Mungkin dia rasa leceh bawa orang kurang upaya macam Kal El ni. Ye la, jalan lambat, susah nak panjat tangga, kene pimpin, cepat letih, and I have to stricly follow my dialysis schedule - every 5 hours otherwise I'll have to plan my outings (if ever there was going to be any lah). Atau mungkin dia malu punya seseorang seperti aku.
I cannot say much. KN has done alot for me lately. Kalau aku bising or complain I will sound macam tak kenang budi but I just want my life to be like it was before - I want to gout for weekly movies, pi karaoke, gastronomic outings. I am tired of having to stay home especially on weekends. When at home, I am confined to my bedroom, nak tengok astro pun tak lalu. I watch movies (kekadang 5 - 6 movies per weekend), TV series downloaded from the Internet and godeh-godeh Internet dengan laptop ni. I have plenty of office work but weekends? Please la, nak fikir pasal kerja pun malas on weekends.
Most of the time Kal El sedih. On Sundays I would be waiting and hoping KN would come back early and take me out sampaikan everytime I would end up going to bed early just to cover my frustration. But how can I tell KN what I want? Kesian kat dia pun...
I just wish things are not so much different than before my leg was amputated or before I am diagnosed with renal failure. Sampaikan our trip to Makassar in April pun KN cancelled. Aku turutkan aja sebab afterall, KN yang akan jaga Kal El kat sana nanti. Takpe lah, burn saja tiket tu, what's done cannot be undone and Air Asia pun takkan bagi refund. Let it be.
Right now I will say yes walau ke mana pun orang ajak aku pergi. I just want the opportunity to go out to see the world. I have lost so much in life and this shouldn't be one of it. I work hard to be able to enjoy what I earn. It's frustrating, dissapointing that the fruits of my labor cannot be tasted but instead habis bayar loan and what nots.
I'm sorry for writing like this but I just need to get it out my system. There's no flow to what I wrote, theres no coherence even.
I am trapped, I am jailed inside my own home.

Nope I haven't finally eaten fish but yes we hada meal here once. I wanted to eat Laksa Johor at Laksa Shack on the left side of this stall but the London Fish Tale stall looked inviting enough with a chicken chop set menu. KN and I ordered two Chicken Chop sets that came with a carbonated drink.
Verdict? A really HUGE NO NO! The chicken chop was dissapointingly puny (well, for 9.90 I could get a larger one elsewhere, I'm sure) and what made it worse was it was tasteless! We had no choice but to gobble everything up and unsatisfyingly left looking gloomy and irritated.
Menyesalnya tak makan laksa johor kat Laksa Shack

One Step Closer...
Yep one step closer to owning a Livina - pagi tadi test drive (Kal El tak test drive sebab tak berani lagi). Semalam dah pi buat license and guess what buang masa je Kal El tunggu kad OKU ingat ada beza lesen memandu OKU ni tapi macam sama je...
So back to the car, the SA (sales assistant) came to our condo at 10:30am, discussed a few things and paid the booking fee - blom deposit lagi just booking fee and submitted the necessary documents. Lepas tu KN test drive.. aku duk belakang je hehehe...
InsyaAllah macam ni ler gamaknye ropanya...
The loan insyaallah will be processed next week and the car should be out soon after that tapi too bad Kal El belum boleh drive sebab kene submit medical report and photographs to JPJ and what not kat Putrajaya for their modification approval. Lepas approval (which according to the SA would take about 2 months - sigh, kerajaan! - baru la Tan Chong boleh modify (crap sangat dapat keta baru tapi tak bleh drive... naik jadik co-pilot je la nampaknya...)
The modification that will take place - accelerator ngan brake dekat steering - cool! Macam F1 car plak gamaknya hehehe....
Tak sabar nak start driving balik, dah setahun tak driving langsung...

So we decided to take the 1.8A variant and hmmm we chose white, tak jadi plak amik kaler orange as I earlier planned - macho sket with the additinal aero kit and leather seats kan? Hahahah! So, it;'s going to be a White Grand Livina 1.8 Automatic transmissin with leather seats and Impul bodykit (tak amik Impul tuned, bukan nak buat racing pun hehehe... and the Impul bodykit pun beza 10k! Baik Kal El beli sofa baru puas hati!
InsyaAllah macam ni ler gamaknye ropanya...

Lanna Thai @ The Garden's FoodGarden
Believe ir or not it was my first time @ The Garden's Midvalley but when it comes to Kal El and going out nowadays, it isn't at all impossible!
We were there to get tickets for the upcoming Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and since we were there near dinner time (hehehe 5+pm actually - post tea really) we decided to try something at FoodGarden, one floor below GSC's Signatures.
We chose to try the tempting sounding menu at Lanna Thai, one of the stalls at FoodGarden. I had Set B Menu consisting of White Rice, 2 pieces Pandan Chicken, Vege of the Day, Mango Salad, a slice of Watermelon and Vege Tomyam while KN had what they claimed 'a really popular dish' - Pineapple Fried Rice ala carte. For drinks of course, I would go for thee Iced Fruit Jelly Coctail and surprisingly KN chose something similar - Shaved Iced with Longan - I guess it was the hot weather as KN isn't really an 'ice' freak like me.
Overall I like the food at Lanna Thai and I 'aim' to try other dishes at other stalls around FoodGarden - the Kebab looks tempting!

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Yey! It was months since Kal El last went to the movies... pathetic but true! The last was Yasmin's Talentime and soon the cinema drought in Kal El's life will be over, hopefully! (Ahahah not that I didn't watch movies at all but movies are aplenty at home and that's what I've been doing on weekends after all - 4 - 5 movies a week!
The next movie in line will be the much awaited action movie in 2009 - Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen at GSC Signatures @ The Gardens.
So for those who have bought the tickets on this same day (Wednesday june 24th - 9pm) see you there! I'm excited as this will be our first time at the GSC's Signatures.
Meanshile, enjoy the exclusive footage edited by Michael Bay for Chevrolet of the new Autobot vehicles from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen from YouTube!

I Want a Grand Livina!
Yeah and it's an ORANGE Livina! InsyaAllah coming soon!
I am looking for something practical. I originally liked MyVi then considering a Suzuki Swift (for the 'S' emblem heheh) as I don't really believe in spending too much on a vehicle - furthermore the smaller the better but practicality wise, and judging from my current needs, an MPV is a must. I was thinking of the monthly dialysis solution pick up from the hospital and the possibility of having to carry my beloved sports car (read: wheelchair) if needed (like when I am too lazy to walk heheheh). Moreover since Ka'ngah is also using a wheelchair, I definitely need a large car to fit 2 of those sports car (alasan je ni...) I have been wanting to take Ka'ngah out like I used to when I was still driving and I hope she would agree to go in my new Orange Livina.
Some modifications will have to be made to the car/MPV though. Tan Chong Motors will be modifying the accelerator to have an extensin somewhere near the steering I guess and that alone would cost me an extra RM2 - 3k. Papa (as usual) is discouraging me but ever since I got my first car - it was his influence and right now I want something of my own taste and I defnitely want to taste the fruits of my hard labor - bila lagi kan? What he told me makes sense and I totally agree (about forking out that amount of money to pay interest, petrol prices hiking and so on and so forth) but I think I earn myself a good post-amputation present and with this new job at The Eye Co. I think I can afford a Livina - bukannya aku nak beli BMW or Mercedes pun!
Ok la... asik duk berangan driving the new Livina dan terpandang-pandang Livinas one the road (eh, macam ramai lah pulak pakai kereta ni alih-alih mat salleh kan?) BTW, I'll still be keeping the old blue car - just in case if I cannot work and afford to pay for the Livina anymore, I would sell her off and make full use of the old car which loan will be settled in a few months time.
Livina...Livina...Livina... hehehehe
