It has been awhile since I last went out jalan-jalan; window shopping, shopping, makan etc. Before this kalau keluar pun akan pi Jusco for grocery shopping, makan thwn balik. All these sejak I lost my leg nearly a yera ago. I would only go out to work and back, other times I would be spending time in the room and feel trapped within the four small master bedroom walls. I complained to KN since before this we always go out together and Fridays would be our wayang day. It has been awhile since we last watched a movie together pun. I miss all that and I feel bored to death just trapped at home. Weekends especially when KN goes back to mak and ayah's place in Shah Alam lagi la aku rasa macam orang gila sorang-sorang watching movies and the stupid Astro yang keep repeating their movies and shows over and over again.
So, this weekend we went to The Curve in Damansara. I was on the wheelchair and KN pushed me. Jalan-jalan pusing-pusing window shopping and we went to Metrojaya to shop for my uniform - Superman emblem t-shirt la what else heheheheh and I bought three pairs! Memang seronok. I had the time of my life. Right now I am eying the Superman shoes and sling bag - i wish they have a back pack soon.
Before that we had a quick lunch kat area bawah Curve tu, stopped by to get myself a glove for dialysis (refer previous entry ada gambar Kal El pakai glove hitam. Tu ler dia heheheh) After Metrojaya we went around The Curve to window shop then stopped by Pet Safari kat Ikano to get pet food tapi takde stock pulak. Singgah the Centre Court at The Curve and snapped some photos (eeee tak suka gambar tu sebab of the IJC kat my neck showing and I looked so fat due to fluid overload) and then stopped by Starbucks Coffee... yummm yummmm (patut la selalu fluid overload kan hehehehe)
We had dinner kat Ikea. Kal El apa lagi ordered meatballs with mustard and chili sauce while KN had Herb Chicken. We shared our drinks - how romantic. We jalan-jalan kat Ikea bought some needed things for the house and then pi kat the small mart kat Ikea tu and bought some biscuits and the ever famous almond chocolate pie... double yummy (ahahahah lepas makan tu mesti naik blood sugar Kal El)
All in all, I had a very happy weekend. Thanks KN for finally taking me out. I know I can be pathetic sometimes crying over trivial things but u need to be in my shoes to know how dreading my life is to be trapped within the four walls of our bedroom every day of my life. This weekend means a lot to me. Thanks dear.
Siapa sangka semasa Planet Krypton hampir musnah JOR-EL telah melepaskan sebuah lagi kapal angkasa selepas KAL-EL yang berjaya mendarat di Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Anaknya ini dinamakan Syahr-El...

Buka Puasa @ Ikea

We buka puasa at Ikea on September 15th - one of the final buka puasa buffet we had this year - Dah terlangsung nak pi kedai Buaya (Crocs) kat Ikano and since tak pernah berbuka kat Ikea, maka kami pi la dengan semangatnye kat Ikea tu (kali ni aku pi buffet dengan wheelchair sebab tak larat nak jalan deh) I anticipated famous Ikea menus like their famout Meatballs, Meatloaf and the like but to our disappointment, they were serving local dishes. Ikea kitchen was closed! Hampeh tul. It was however not that bad (apart from the long queue!) - sampai sekarang Kal El tertanya-tanya apasal orang berebut-rebut nak buka kat Ikea tu? Atau semua orang pun beria-ia ingat ada Ikea dishes ke? Tipah Tertipoooooo!

The local dishes served - Nasi Putih, Ayam rendang, daging halia, sausage with baked beans, keropok, mee hoon, kueh mueh, air tebu, air soya, coffee/tea and ice cream - very limited but ok la for the price we paid kan, mana nak dapat buffer at RM15 per head? The pulut panggang and kueh ketayap was fabulously delicious!

Ronda-ronda Kuala Lumpur
March 7, 2008 was a busy and hectic day for the of us. KN took the day off to take Ayah to the hospital for his appointment and I went to work as usual but planned to take half day to register for Umrah at Andalusia.KN went back to Shah Alam the night before to pick Ayah and Mak. They arrived at BA approximately half past seven and we headed to the only mamak restaurant here for breakfast. Ahahaha guess what, the first thing Mak told me when I entered the car was - "Eh S*** Ikea ada Sale tau" and we both laughed . I saw KN looking back through the rear view mirror - alamak macam citer Jangan Pandang Belakang pulak as a komplot to go Ikea was on its way!
So there we were, berjaya jugak convince KN and Ayah to go to Ikea ahahaha. I actually got scolded by the Bangla guard at Ikea for taking a photo of their Ikea Sale Bunting - cheh! Well, Mak didn't buy much but me, as usual lah - I had a list of things already up in the head the momnet mak mentioned "Ikea" and "Sale!" and there goes three hundred ringgit well spent We had lunch at Ikea, of course, their delicious meat balls and cranberries sauce and some dessert. Mak and Ayah shared their meat balls on a single dinner plate - how romantic, I wish my own parents were like that - how lucky KN is.

After Ikea we went to Ikano to get a hammer drill (one f the things need to install those things I bought at Ikea today and some other things I bought nearly a year ago but not yet hung on the wall) - there, I kissed RM400 good bye - well, lucky Ayah is familiar with tools and he recommended a really good hammer drill for me.
We then sent Mak and Ayah home and it was raining cats
and dogs but the initial plan was to registed for Umrah at Andalusia in Taman Maluri. Lucky enough we managed to get there before their business hours end that day and Alhamdulillah we'll be going on August 25th this year. We were given 2 bags each, a book and free classes on Sundays 9am to 1pm. We decided to start attending the classes later in May. What we still need to do for this trip are the immunization injection and photos for the visa application.Since KN just bought a DSLR, the only thing that interests KN nowadays are camera stuff and camera shops. So we then headed to Pertama Complex as I have promised KN a flash for my darling's coming 31st Birthday. We parked at Sogo Shopping Complex and had dinner there - My favourite Extra Hot Peri-peri Chicken at Nandos. KN had a Peri-peri Beef dish served with rice. This was actually the first time we dined at Nandos Sogo - the service was terrible as the waiters were busy chit chatting with each other at the counter and we had a hard time trying to get them to refill our drinks - Nandos Alpha Angle Wangsa Maju's service was so much better and friendlier.
Extra Hot 1/4 Peri-peri Chicken with Rice and Coleslaw for me and Mild Beef Peri-peri with rice for KN
Before heading home we bought Lecka-lecka's ice cream - a mixture of three flavour but the best was the Red/pink-coloured Lecka Special (tasted liek watermelon) and a bag of Famous Amos cookie - yummy, and I have only myself to blame if my blood sugar reading is high tomorrow... padan muka!
